I’m curious. How cold do they actually get?

They don’t have any heat production capabilities so basically they are always in the ambient temperature. Crawling on the floor they are usually in 15-25 degC temperature depending on the season. They get really slow when they are cold. But they do like to bask in the sun and warm up. In the nature this species can hibernate and stay alive in slightly below zero temperature too. They have some kind of anti-freeze in their blood.
